The King’s Counselling Services will resume operations in September.
If you require services, and are in Alberta, go to the following site: [http://albertahealthservices.ca]. Find your geographical zone, and then you can see what local services are in your area. If you are in another province, go to your provincial health services site.
The Psychologists’ Association of Alberta can also assist you in finding a private practice psychologist in Alberta. They are also helping those Albertan’s who are experiencing distress due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Their Disaster Response Network members offer pro-bono psychological services with priority for health care providers and first responders traumatized by recent events. This is not a crisis line or a referral service but pro-bono support by volunteer psychologists of 1-3 sessions for those in need.
To find out about private practice psychologists in your area, or the Disaster Response Network, contact the PAA Office at:
firstname.lastname@example.org or (780) 424-0294 or Toll Free: 1-888-424-0297
If this is a mental health emergency please use the Distress Line 780-482-4357 or Addictions and Mental Health Access 24/7 780-424-2424 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department.
